Introduction
Headstart is a unique early childhood education programme for five to six year olds. It is designed to build emerging abilities and confidence at an early stage in life by inspiring creative and discovery learning. It is based on New Zealand’s Te Whaariki curriculum, and has a minimum of 2 teachers at all times.
Based on the learning principles of holistic development, empowerment, community and relationships, Headstart extends young children’s natural abilities and develops their personal skills in a very safe, supportive and caring environment.
Research shows that the first eight years in your child’s life are crucial. During this period, the foundations of their learning ability, attitudes and character are built. Their experiences and relationships during these early years ultimately shape them as confident individuals for life.
Daily Times
Springbank Headstart operates daily from 8:30am-3:00pm Monday to Friday.
