Our students feel a strong bond with their community and a sense of belonging.  Springbank School plays an active role in the Bay of Islands community, supporting many organisations.

Students help others less fortunate and can then appreciate what they themselves are fortunate to have. This sense of appreciation and a willingness to contribute to the greater good, sees students volunteer for community events, raise funds for needed equipment and resources and donate goods such as our annual Christmas Gift-Giving.

We are proud of our young citizens of today who will hopefully go on to be influential and inspirational shapers of a more kind, compassionate world.

Some of the organisations that Springbank has worked with include:

  • Historic Places Trust
  • Kerikeri Scout Den
  • Rewa’s Village
  • Riding for the Disabled
  • Bay of Islands Hospital
  • Bay of Islands Vintage Railway
  • Foster Hope
  • Hospice Mid-Northland
  • St John
  • Kerikeri Retirement Village
  • Bay of Islands Coastguard – Air Patrol
  • Kerikeri Toy Library
  • Kerikeri Plunket
  • Age Concern Gardening Group
  • Department of Conservation
  • Women's Refuge

We are always looking for new ways to inspire our students through giving back to the community and instilling a sense of pride in their generosity. If you know of a community group or initiative that would benefit from our school’s support, we would love to hear from you.  Please email us: reception@springbank.nz
