Springbank School understands that local charities play a huge role in the Northland community.
At Springbank School, we are very proud to support both local and national charities through a variety of fundraising ideas such as dress up days, BBQs, Market Day Stalls and more.
Every two years, one local charity is chosen as our main “Charity Champion”. We raise money at school and donate to the charity throughout the year. We also raise awareness of the charity by offering support at local events and promotion through our newsletter and our Facebook page.
Bald Angels has been part of the wider Northland community for over ten years and has become a vehicle for community connectivity and good will.
Bald Angels believe all youth deserve to thrive, and sadly so many of our taitamariki (children and young people) in Aotearoa are living a ‘normal’ that many of us would struggle to comprehend. Bald Angels has a strategic goal to improve the outcomes for our most vulnerable rangatahi (youth) by empowering and elevating them so they CAN thrive with a new normal.
Bald Angels partner with; social service agencies, iwi organisations, Police, education and health providers to deliver emergency support as needed, including their annual projects: Keep Our Kids Warm, Angel Bears, Christmas Angels, and Hospice Angel treats.
Community support is key for Bald Angels to continue their mahi (work), and believe that only by working together, can we drive change. Springbank School acknowledges the huge impact and support that Bald Angels gives to so many across Northland and we are proud to be supporting Bald Angels with their projects & campaigns across 2022 and 2023.
All children need hope, self respect, resilience and pride. Our mission is to motivate communities to nourish their own tamariki so that they can thrive.
Na ta rou rou, na taku rourou, ka ora nga tamariki, katoa. Together we can make a difference.
